Information for Potential Participants

Exploring a machine
PEI's first woman Red Seal plumber, Nancy Gaudet, mentors a Trade HERizons participant on a hands-on site visit at Holland College

If you are a woman and:

  • Are looking for a new or challenging career
  • Enjoy working with your hands to create things (crafts, needlework, puzzles, etc.)
  • Prefer moving around in your job, rather than sitting behind a desk
  • Are unemployed (either EI eligible or with no ties to EI) or employed less than 20 hours/week
  • Can commit to your career development on a full-time basis over 12 weeks

Then consider a career in the trades!

Trade HERizons helps women explore careers in trades and industrial technology. This full-time, 12-week, FREE college prep course will be doing its next intake in Fall 2017.
