Preventing Street Harassment and Violence in PEI
A Women's Network PEI project that aims to educate Islanders about the realities and impacts of street harassment in PEI.
The goal of this project is to better understand street harassment in PEI.
Through online surveys and focus groups, we will develop a better understanding of the impacts of street harassment in PEI. Based on research data in other jurisdictions, we know that specific populations face increased street harassment, particularly young women, trans women and gender non-binary folks. This project will focus on their realities.
We will conduct an online survey and focus groups this winter, and from there we will create a creative campaign to share key learnings from our findings. This project is supported by an advisory committee and aims to educate Islanders about the realities and impacts of street harassment in PEI.
